Good day!

Wanna ask with you regarding how it goes recoprocity of license from one state to another state? Im a USRN license in vermont but since i cannot renew yet coz i dont have my SSS number at my hand and same time im still based here in Singapore for work. Got through some research what states doesnt need SSN for renewal of license, theres New york and Michigan, and am not sure what other states not requiring SSS. My delimma is this, coz i have tourist visa there in US and managed to contact one of the healthcare organizations based in Maryland for nursing opportunities, and they want me to visit US soon for clinical interview; at the same applying for RN license reciprocity in BON in maryland, but the problem iis I dont have my SSS number yet since. So i torn between resigning in my job once i go there in US while processing for employment there. Any thoughts and advise in this matter is highly aporeciated. Thank you!

What visa do you think you are going to get? You will not be able to adjust if going for EB3 as currently 6 year wait for visa if born in the USA. H1b unless they are exempt from the cap isn't open until April with an Oct start if lucky to get one in the lottery.

I would not resign from job until you know you have a visa

They are offering H1b visa.

Better check they are exempt from H1b numbers otherwise you are not guaranteed one in April.

I really would not resign from job without confirmation on visa

Thank you! One thing more, besides Newyork and michigan is there any states that dont SSN as a requirement in renewal of license?

If Maryland is where you are going to be working then why waste money endorsing to another state?

My contact agency in US advisede me once i am there i will personally apply for reciprocity of license to Maryland which needs finger printing and no need for SSN.

The purpose according to them

is to gather documents that am eligible to apply for reciprocity in maryland as part of documentation in filling working visa.

In this case i still need to renew my license in other state then apply reciprocity in Maryland once i get there?? Any advised will highly appreciate. Thank you
