Hi! I am a licensed RN in MA. I got my license in Nov. 2004. After going through some of my junk/ papers, I learned that my license expires at the end of February. What should I do? This is my first license renewal. Pls help!!!

You should get a notice in the mail with instructions on how to renew. Or you can contact your BON for info.

There's still plenty of time. The BON usually contacts you with instructions on how to renew your license, and time to do it. Or, as stated above check your BON website or call them for information. Many BONs allow you to renew online these days.

Hi! Just came across your question. I know you are all set nowm but I thought I'd respond anyway. All you need to do is contact the MA board of Nursing, send them your info and the renewal fee. It is imperative that you keep the board aware of any address changes or you will not receive your notice of license renewal. I know because that happened to me and I had to write them a letter with my license number, etc., to have them change the info in their system. Also, you need to keep records of the contact hours that you earn for license renewal. In Ma, we need 15 contact hours every two years. You don't have to send them a copy of the certificates unless they request them.Hope that helps...
