RN jobs in seacost area

U.S.A. New Hampshire

Published

Hi everyone !..I was just wondering if someone

can help me gather a list of hospitals in the Portsmouth area

(interested in: Manchester, Nashua, Rochester area )

and, just an idea of average expected salary for RN -

( Medsurge experience x 1 yr, LPN x 3 yrs )

Also, Is there a major teaching Hospital in the area that has sort of like an intern training program into critical care ?

Any information will be greatly appreciated !!! I am moving from Florida.

Hi,

I'm not a nurse (yet) but I can give you names of some hospitals in NH. I'm not sure if any are teaching hospitals. I don't have their websites handy, but they all come up if you do a web search.

Good Luck!!!

Manchester: Elliot Hospital and Catholic Medical Center

Nashua: Southern NH Medical Center, St. Joseph Hospital

Seacoast: Exeter Hospital, Portsmouth Hospital

Note: Manchester and Nashua really aren't in the seacoast area

I'm a new RN working at Wentworth-Douglass in Dover, which is included in the NH Seacoast area. The other Seacoast hospitals are Portsmouth Regional, Exeter, Frisbie Memorial (Rochester) and York (York Maine). Nashua and Manchester are 1+ hours from the seacoast area, as is Concord, which is considered a teaching hospital but does not see the same acuity as does Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon. Maine Medical in Portland Maine is closer to the NH Seacoast area and is also a Level 1 teaching hospital.

Hope that helps you-

Is there a major teaching Hospital in the area that has sort of like an intern training program into critical care ?

Dartmouth-Hitchcock would be the major teaching hospital. However, most area hospitals offer a Critical Care course. Good luck!

Specializes in High Risk OB, Aesthetics.

Can anyone give me an idea on hourly pay for RN's at these hospitals? I am mostly interested in Elliot (I am a Clinical Nurse II for Labor and Delivery). Thanks!

Pale sarah.....hopefully within the next 5 years I will be working with you. I'm starting nursing school here in Florida this Jan....2 years of school and 2 year commitment to the hospital that is sponsoring me for my RN....and my husband and I will hopefully be moving back home! Bring on the cold and snow. I am soooo envious of you all right now with leaves turning, crisp grass fields to play soccer on and the smell of wood burning...almost feels like home.
