RN Jobs: INOVA Fairfax Hospital

U.S.A. Virginia

Published

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone can offer me insight about the INOVA Fairfax Hospital. I am a new grad and I am interested in working there but I have a few questions. I'll appreciate any information you can offer.

1. Do new grads have to sign a contract? If so, what is the general length of time?

2. What is the RN salary? (now in 2010 with the recession)

3. What is the work environment like in terms of nurse-patient ratios?

4. And is the training good in your opinion?

5. What unit would be the best to work at?

Thanks in advance:jester:

Anyone know how much currently in 2014 almost to be 2015 Inova is paying new grads hourly in Alexandria and is the hourly rate increased once training in period is accomplished? Some places give like 24.95/hr for 6 week training and if you do well they ask you area of interest then have you apply in the unit. Once you get in then your salary is increased to around 29.32 and more if you are a bachelors degree. But this hospital posts like once a year and only takes 8-9 new grads. Way to small.

I just attended a hiring event and a job fair in the Falls Church location and they are starting at $25/hr. Don't know anything about the Alexandria location, but would assume it would be the same amount. What hospital are you referring to that only hires 8-9 new grads?

Hello,

I'd like to know if someone has any info to share about Inova Fairfax. If anyone has gone through the experience, how supported did you feel as a new grad? What is the starting salary? I am interviewing for one position tomorrow and another later in the week.
