I have 14 years experience as an RN - currently working in outpatient oncology - and am very interested in living/working in Chicago. I really would appreciate any advise, suggestions, information anyone can pass along to me.........Thank You!

Welcome to Chicago. I'm barely starting nursing school this January but seems like a lot of ppl are complaining about Chicago's job market.
But maybe it depends on many different things how an employer sees you.
Keeping a good attitude n you should be okay finding a job I think :).
Good luck

Not an excellent job market, but sounds like you have a lot of experience. I think you'll certainly find something. Chicago is a huge city. Where are you looking to move?
Thank you very much...........still in Ohio, many options to consider.......Thanks again.

schnoozimz,
In all honesty - I do not know of exact location, have spent time researching that and need to determine what I can afford with an RN salary there..................Thank You!!!
If you'd like area recommendations, let me know!!!
schnookimz - I would love recommendations if you have time - though I do not plan on moving there any time soon - I am ready to start exploring possibilities. Thank you very much!!! jesuit
also - thought it might be worth mentioning - currently I am single and own my own home,,,,,,,,,,not sure what is out there (in terms of places to live) for single people in/around Chicago!
