RN generic full Time fall 2014- Miami dade college

Published

I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.

You're welcome... has anybody call for news lol.... like every week is something different lol

Lol, now you're going to have me refreshing that link often.

Hey guys! I have a quick question regarding the math portion of the exam. Will I be asked to factor simple expressions exactly like the ones provided as practice, or will the equations be much more complex? I am assuming with the time allotted to complete this portion, they will use simple expressions, but I wanted to be sure. Thank you all in advance...you are life savers!

I never saw any question about factors... a lot of % and geometry and fractions.

Thank you Lisel! Ok, so no problems like in the book where we are asked to factor expressions? The %, geometry, and fractions, are they identical to the problems in the book?

I had one factoring question on my exam. It was just like the ones in the book.

I think it's best to focus on EVERYTHING that is in the review book because every exam is different. So, just because Lisel didn't have factors in her exam doesn't mean that you won't. We all had different versions. Good luck on the exam. :)

Thank you guys for taking time out to inform me. I have heard that the math portion is identical to the book. I just started to think about factoring complex expressions, and how long it would take. You know how our mind can sometimes be our worst enemy . Of course, my concern is finishing in time. I remember many people mentioning that they almost ran out of time, or did in fact run out of time.

Anyway, you guys are a blessing to me. Thanks again!

Yea I totally ran out of time in the math, had to take about 5 guesses

There adding, ratios and for example William expend 2/7 of they pay check on rent 1/3 on gas blabla how much is left. Also find the length of a rectangle (the side ).and lots of % I had one question about how many 21/2 x 1/2 sheets come be made out a 481/2x1/2 something like that. There are on the book.

Like everyone is saying go by the book study use the cd for math portion to track time math is easy but time is the worst enemy use the cd... and the best of luck for you my friend.
