RN generic full Time fall 2014- Miami dade college

Published

I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.

I've already take all of my pre-reqs for BSN. I am taking the CPR course. Do we need a specific CPR course because I'm already CPR certified. Is there something else I need? I also applied for all 3 programs. Which ever accepts me lol. I definitely prefer Accelerated though.

CPR/BLS it has to be approved or accepted by American Heart Association

yeah you can take it at dade. i took it last year it was $75 and it lasts for two years. the class says it's 6 hours long but it'll probably only take anywhere from 3-4 hours instead. It's not hard, it's quite interesting. You'll like it :)

Good to know i'm just want to know more about the physical exam.. because it cost a lot like $225 do

Gah. Theres so much we have to do if accepted. Cpr class. Physical exams. Tution deposit. Scrubs. Orientation. Books. Is it a good idea to do the CPR and physical exams before they send out acceptance letters? My main concern is to spend over 300 dollars, and then get denied.

That why I'm only doing the CPR because it last 2 years... i hope you can do the physical at your doctor office

Yeahh is a lot... $60 for the nln exam $50 in admission $79 for CPR class $100.for acceptance $150 in uniform and items that we need... and the list goes on and on

That's why I am going to wait. I don't want to spend money on it if I'm not certain of my acceptance yet. Especially when I could buy Beyonce concert tickets lol. That was a joke. It's always a good idea to be CPR certified. Especially if you plan to go to nursing school. Most nursing schools require it. It's a good investment.
