RN generic full Time fall 2014- Miami dade college

Published

I'm applying for the Generic Full Time RN program for fall 2014 (August). I took my NLN Pax exam already and got an overall score of 143. Curious if this will be goof enough to get in? Can't find any stats since the previous test was the TEAS... Looking forward to hearing back from anyone else that has taken the test already. Thx.

The book had it all. I took all the tests and re read all the concepts and questions. I only studies for 2 weeks, and did much better than I expected. Good luck!

I purchased the suggested book from Amazon and i did the first part. I got half of the questions wrong. I have this issue with testing. I get tired of reading after a while i get anxious and just want the test to be over so i kind of rush through it. I found myself doing the same thing on this practice exam. :(

My science GPA is 3.6 but my cumm. GPA is 2.8. I read on the MDC website that they look at the cumm. GPA as well. When i spoke to the counselor and the Medical Campus she said the same thing. I'm confused at this point!

Same boat as me...Science GPA 3.2 and NLN test 143...I am also applying to accelerated program although I prefer the full time because I am afraid I am not going to get in...I wish it was past May 5th already.

Hello. I'll be applying for the Fall of 2014 as well. What concepts are covered on the test? I'll be purchasing the NLN review book as well.

I am applying for the transition program. I heard that you need a minimum score of 106. Does anyone know anything about the online transition program.

Hi Shell83,

I plan on applying to the transition program as well. have you heard anything about their online transition? I have not ordered the book yet. I plan on taking the NLN sometimes in April. I heard the minimum passing score in 106. I am also going to apply at palm beach state college since you only need to pass an ACE test which is similar to the NCLEX.

I am also applying for both accelerated and generic programs for Fall2014 and plan to take the test in the next two weeks. I was wondering if anyone can give any specifics about the test, as far as like how many physics and chemistry questions are there opposed to anatomy and bio questions? And how did you all study for the vocabulary?

I've been studying for about a month now and I don't feel super confident yet, did anyone actually feel 100% prepared going into the test lol? I do the practice tests as well but sometimes i score really well and other times not so much.

Hi Highly favored lpn

Yes I've purchased the book. I haven't really started studying just yet. I'm going to schedule the exam for some time next month and two weeks prior I'll start studying. A score of 106 is equivalent to what? Would that be 80%? Someone posted that they received a 143.

Ohhh no I haven't really heard anything about the transitional option. No one really talks about it. Which might be a good thing. Less competition......

Hi.

I'm not sure, but I think that 106 is equivalent to 60%

Hi all,

I am applying for the accelerated option. My science GPA is 3.1 and my overall GPA is 3.4 which means that I need to do extremely well on the NLN exam. I am currently taking the prep science and math and they have not helped me at all. Only motivated me to study harder on my own to reteach myself. I graduated college 2 years ago so I'm a bit rusty. If anyone wants to study let me know. Until then, lets hope for acceptance letters! :)

I did not know that we were allowed to apply for both! Good to know.
