RN Follow Up Visit

Hi everyone,

I have a question. I'm new to HH and just started seeing this pt. The first 7 days, I had to see her for IV antibiotic therapy. Then she was to be seen by an LVN after the IV therapy was done, but she refused and requested me to do the follow up.

I saw her last week for the start of the follow up, but now I have called her 3x and she is always having an excuse. She states she's going out (shopping, other appts, seeing friends). Call me later she tells me.

What is the procedure for this? Do I call my agency or call her one more time to set up an appt? My HH job is only part time and I work at a hospital full time 3 days/12hrs. Please let me know.

is she medicare????

sounds like she is doing well and perhaps discharge is what she needs.... i would make the agency aware of the situation.

I called my agency and was told to discharge her from my care as she is no longer homebound. Thank you for your advise. :up:

Now I just have fill out the oasis. :typing
