It's pretty hard. I have no idea how many versions there really are and the school likely chooses you to take whatever the current version of the exam is at that time. The exit exam is likely going to be "comprehensive" so "studying" for the exam began day 1 of your program. Questions will likely be NCLEX-style, so as long as you've been getting those kinds of questions throughout, you won't be surprised.

At my program, that exam wasn't graded and we could bomb it and still graduate but we had to take it. I think most of us got >70% and I'm reasonably sure I got around 85%... or whatever translated into about a >95% chance of passing the NCLEX the first time.

I actually didn't find it very difficult. It covers everything you learned in the program. So of course there are hard topics, but there are easy topics as well!
