RN Diploma instead of associates degree

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Question, There is this school that has a RN diploma program that is only for a year. If I do that will I be able to further my RN by getting my bachelors degree?? Or does it stop there with education? I'm asking cause if I had my associates degree then I can go on further, to further the degree to a BSN. Just wondering if it works that way with the diploma RN too??? Anyone know or is doing the diploma RN route??

Thanks!!!

Most likely you would have to start from scratch for the BSN because the diploma school courses would not transfer. At one (former) diploma school, some courses (anatomy) were taken at the nearby community college. Those courses were transferable. Nursing school courses per se, don't transfer anyway. General education courses taken at a public school will usually transfer.
