RN to CNA

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi there!

I am an RN from the Philippines who is now living in California. I dont have a California license yet but I am taking the NCLEX a few months from now but I want to work even as a CNA, could that be possible? Can anyone tell me how much a CNA is getting per hour here in California?

Hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you and God Bless!:heartbeat:heartbeat:heartbeat

You are not an RN going to a CNA role, you are not licensed here. That makes a world of difference.

Yes, you can get hired to work as a CNA here. Salaries are going to be very different depending on your locale in the state, amd by a great margin.

Can you be more specific as to where you are living and wishing to work?

I would also check out the International Forum that we have here as well. You need to be aware that even though you may have visa that will permit you to work, the fact that you trained out of the US is going to be a major factor at least in getting hired by a hospital in the RN role as well as the fact that you will not have been working in the role of the RN for quite sometime. Things are very tight at the moment for even those that have graduated from programs here in the US.
