I am an RN in california. I just passed the NCLEX examination. I have not worked as an RN and have no professional experience as a Nurse. Me and my family are now moving to NY. What steps do i need to do to maintain my License as a Nurse when i move? Would it be hard and will there be alot of paper work to be done?

I moved your thread to the International Forum since you trained out of the US and have additional requirements that need to be met. Congratulations on passing the NCLEX-RN exam. I know that you have worked hard to get to this point.
You are going to have to complete the CVS process that is available only thru CGFNS. It can take anywhere up to six to eight months on average to get done before NY will even look at your application. Please be aware that you cannot work as an RN in NY without a license for that state, and it is going to take you until next spring to get things completely done. Just want you to be aware of this, it is not going to be automatic for you. When one trains out of the US, there is a significant additional timeframe that is added on to any application. NY is one of the longer ones and they will not do a thing without the CVS being completed. This is needed for both initial licensure as well as endorsement to that state.
If you have a SSN#, then your CA license will be yours until it expires if you do not renew it. NY also requires that you complete the two on-line courses that they require, you can find this on their website.
Please do not send anything into NY until you hear that the CVS is completed. Hope that this helps.
Best of luck to you.
