for RN to BSN, does it matter if your school is not accredited by NLN?

Im wondering if anyone can tell me based on their experience if they have come across any online RN to BSN programs that required accreditation by the National League for Nursing (NLN)???

I think most of the schools I looked at just wanted that "RN." I can't say for sure, though -- my school was NLNAC accredited, so it wasn't an issue. But I think the programs I investigated just listed being an RN as the basis for admission.

I was just discussing this yesterday. A nurse I work with graduates from an unaccredited (by NLN) ADN program. Her ADN school lost accreditation and didn't tell the students until they were halfway through their program. Anyways, she did run into a few RN-BSN programs that wouldn't look at her since the school was not accredited, and, some grad schools with ADN-MSN programs won't accept students from unaccredited schools. So, if you're looking for an ADN school, make sure it's accredited. If you already have that ADN from an unaccredited school, the nurse I work with is going to Grand Canyon University for her RN-BSN.
