RN-BSN for graduate of non accredited school

Published

I'm graduating from a school that is a RN program with candidacy for national accreditation. However they will not have it by the time I graduate in April. I want to go on to get my BSN and possibly my masters degree. I'm looking for good schools with accreditation that accept students from non accredited schools. Preferably in Florida.

Hello tallynurse did you ever find a school with accreditation that accept you into the rn to bsn program? If so please let me know because I am looking for a school.

I did. It actually seems like it's not as big of a deal as I originally thought. I went to University of Central Florida for my RN-BSN online, no issues with getting my ASN from a non accredited school. I know a lot of my classmates did the University of West Florida's online RN-BSN program.

Thanks that's great news for me, I applied at chamberlain they didn't accept me into the RN to BSN programs because the school I attended for my RN is not accredited. I was feeling hopeless but now I will contact university of West Florida, hopefully it works out for me. Thanks again

you guys have options still. WGU.edu and Capella.edu are both good. Im doing capella's RN to MSN program

Hey Hellensrn,

How do you like the program from uni of west fl? Did they accept all of your credit? Is the program difficult? And how long will it take you.

Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance...
