RN to BSN and different requirements for RN to MSN

Published

I am an RN graduated with an ADN and have 1 year experience. I have recently decided to persue my BSN and have found that all universities seem to have different general education requirements. Some require microbiology and 2 semesters of chemistry (which was not required for my ADN) and 1 that doesn't require any further science courses. My question is, if I receive my BSN from this university, and want to work towards my MSN at another university that offers a different specialization will that hinder me.

It may not hinder you completely, but you may have to take more classes before you could apply or start certain programs..as you mentioned every school as different requirements

Thank you for the info that helps
