Is anyone applying for riverside school of nursing for the march 1st 2016 deadline? Or has anyone applied before? Currently waiting to take my teas test feb 29 just looking for tips on the teas or tips on the application process.
Thanks for letting me know. it seems like they should have notified people. I'm sure I'm not the only one who didn't realize the change until now, and a lot of us are trying to work around other jobs, childcare, etc. Oh well, it is a priority to me so I will make it work, but it is disappointing that the information was wrong when we all applied. Are you also an LPN already? I noticed just now when I was looking that the August program they're trying to fill was the LPN to RN division.
Hi FutureRN29. I am in the Evening/Weekend version of the program. We have class on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays anywhere from 5:30pm-10pm. Then labs and clinical are every other weekend Saturday and Sunday between 7am-3:30pm. The weekday program runs Monday-Friday anywhere from 6am-4:30pm.

Thank you so much for the information !
Hi ladies, congratulations on your acceptance to the programs. I hope you all still check these accounts and can respond to help me know about this program. Are the professors helpful? Are most of the classes in the classroom or do they have online classes? I'm thinking about moving up there and completing the LPN to RN program. I've been trying to do research on the program and find out more info. Does the school have a high Pass rate for the NCLEX. It's nowhere to be found on the VA board of nursing website.
Hello!
I do think the instructors in the evening/weekend program are super helpful and want to see you succeed. I will say as an LPN I started the RN class from the beginning. The LPN to RN class seat number is VERY small.. somewhere between 2 and 9 each year because essentially you are just joining the RN class after level 1 and therefore its up to how many people are dropping out it seems as to whether they have a large amount of seats open. I would highly encourage you to discuss the amount of seats available before making the decision to apply to one or the other. About 6 of us LPNs started from the beginning and I don't think any of us regret it at all. Level 1 was "easy" and we were able to get into the groove and see how the instructors were and what they expected. We are in level 3 now, and will graduate in June. So, its coming soon!! I just checked the state website and the pass rates are up there in various different placed. For 2017 so far, theyve had 21 eligible students and 18 passed. Virginia Board of Nursing Education Programs Oh! All classes are in person, none are available online.
wow thank you so much for responding and giving me insight. I really do pray it works out and I'm able to get in. It seems like a great place and it really helps that they have an evening program. I also have other questions about the program. Do you still work as an LPN right now during the program? Do they offer nursing courses in the summer too? I saw that it says the program should take about 18 months and I just wanted to know if that included the summer time or do they not offer nursing courses in the summer. How long do you all do clinical in a semester? Thank you again so much for your help!

You are right it did say that but I called them on Friday and asked about it. They changed it to now be Monday Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 10 plus every other weekend. I'm a little disappointed that they changed it!
