Hello everyone! Is there anyone that has applied for Riverside College in Newport News, VA for the Spring semester in 2016?

I think within the next two weeks. I'm trying not to call and bug them lol

I applied for the Riverside Spring 2016 program too. I can't wait to hear!

The wait is killing me! How're you holding up?

Waiting is hard! She told me there were 52 applicants and 22 seats available. How did you do on the TEAS?

I think you're the one who commented on my other post for this same program. I haven't heard anything yet, but I did really well on the TEAS, and I thought I did okay during the interview...if I don't hear anything by next week I'm probably going to call them :/

I left a note on the other post too but ...

I called today and was told that I got accepted! :) Have you heard anything yet?

I did too! :) now it's the matter of finding out how to pay for the entire program lol

Yay congrats! I got a call Monday too. Have you talked to the finance lady yet?

Not yet, I have no idea how to go about doing any sort of financial aid. I think we have to go to FASFA. I was also reading this Riverside School of Health Careers - Financial Aid Information

but I think once we get settled in the program, they will discuss financial options for everyone...because when I was in Riverside's CNA program, they told me that I could sign a form where I work to for Riverside to pay off the 400 or to pay out of pocket as an option. I'm going to call and ask and I'll get back to you.

Hello all! I am a navy spouse with orders for Va in January. I am looking for schools to began my road to nursing. Of all school, Riverside has drawn my attention the most. With 3 kids, I really just want to start with the LPN program and work my way up. Is anyone in the LPN program? What did you study for the entrance test? How Is the process? How are the teachers and the curriculum? I know the schedule stated that it varies and just wanted an idea as to how it actually looks. Did anyone get a job at the hospital? How often does the program star? How long do I have to wait in order to enroll in the RN bridge? So many questions, I know. Any information and advice would be helpful. At this point I'm looking for schools for my children and myself along with housing... Thank you guys in advance!
