Is anyone out there waiting to hear back from RCC? How many points do you have? It seems like 80 is the cut off......Does anyone know when we will hear from them on whether or not we get in?
I found out by e-mail. I was actually accepted in Spring 2010, but I deferred until Fall. I was also accepted at an Accelerated BSN at Azusa Pacific. I just left that program because I did not like it at all. It was very disorganized, unprofessional and unfriendly to students. It is very difficult to learn all that information and skills so quickly. You need to have the support of the teachers and staff. It was not happening there. All that happened is I lost my deposit and some money in supplies and books. It just wasn't right for me. I need a little more time to learn at least for the RN. I may go to an accelerated program next for the MSN though once I have experience and knowledge in the profession.
Congrats to you! Can I ask when you received the email ? Just curious, cuz I've been so stressed about it! I just thought I had the grades to pull it off :) but there are so many applicants out there ! I have a friend applying to Azusa Pacific, since she already has her Bachelors... and I believe she is still waiting to hear. Good luck to you at RCC - maybe I will see you there (fingers crossed)!
Hi Wanna Be Nurse,
You should e-mail the nursing department at RCC at [email protected]. Good luck and hope you did get in!
I actually got into everest but declined ..was worried because of the accredidation at the time .. maybe its changed? at the time, it would not allow me to go on to get my nurse practitioner ... but congrats to you on almost being done !!! I just got my acceptance letter from Saddleback Community College today, so I am so excited -- and we will see on RCC ... Good luck !

I was accepted to RCC for the Fall. I really do not know how many points I got. I know that I did not get the maximum amount in each category. I believe I should have had 90 points. You definitely want to have 4.0 in A & P and microbiology and at least an 82% in the TEAS. If you can get 5 pts for a degree or get the CNA training and take a course in a foreign language, those are two things that can help. The TEAS and the coursework is most critical since it gives the most points.
