Riverside Community College or Citrus College ADN?

Nursing Students General Students

Hello. I was accepted to both ADN programs at Riverside Community College and Citrus College. I am having such a hard time choosing which one to attend. Does anyone have any helpful information about either nursing program - good or bad? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I would go to RCC just based on what I have heard about their program vs Citrus. RCC has a much higher pass rate on the boards and has an established reputation.

Either way, congrats! And as long as you do what you are supposed to, both programs will be great!

I would go with RCC. They have a great rep, and with a longer relationship with their hospital, maybe better job prospects upon grad?

Would you mind sharing how many points you got for RCC? You would really be helping me out. I'm here in Rancho Cucamonga, and was accepted to San Diego State. My husbands thinks I'd be nuts to commute even if I carpooled. I was planning to apply for RCC for Spring, but I'm not sure how competive it is. SDSU starts Aug 29, so I either have to go for it, or pass it up and hope to get into RCC. What are my chances? I'm shooting for 90 points if I get an A for micro. But I bet there are people with 95-100 points.

Any info would be appreciated.:)

Thank you for the input, Mom&Wifetoo! :)

Elle71, thank you as well! I actually have NO idea how many points I got! I am thinking about asking this week, so if I find out, I will pass it along! I can tell you that I got A's in Micro and A&P, and I had a high overall GPA. I also got the maximum points you can get for the TEAS. If you have decent grades, I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in. I will try to find out my points for you, though. Hope that helps for now! :)

mcp3, thanks for checking. I think you'll be happy with RCC as I've only read positive posts about them.

RCC all the way

Reputation/well-known

High NCLEX pass rate

One of the top schools in California and the nation

RCC trains you very well, you'll hear all the time from nurses on the floor

Congrats on getting accepted to RCC though, it's a lot harder to get into their program now compared to when I started, very competitive, I'm just glad I finished =) haha
