Riverside City College: Spring 2017

Greetings all future RN students. I just wanted to start a thread for any potential applicants who will be applying to riverside city college RN program this September for Spring 2017. Let's all get together on this thread and share experiences as well as answer questions. I know the application period is 6 months away, but it will be here before you know it! :yes:

Hello,

just to answer a couple of your questions.

1. If you buy the coursepoints you will not need the hard copy textbook. The coursepoints are a required purchase and come with the ebook. Taylor Fundamentals and skills are the nursing go to 1st semester so make sure you have those. You also need a drug book. Some people seemed to like the pocket drug books for clinical. I would also suggest you invest in a decent pen light. You can find them on Amazon for about $5.

2. The supply bag comes with a lower end stethoscope. If you want a better quality sound then I would order a litmann. FYI people got through the semester just fine using the one in the supply bag. It's really a personal choice.

I know an awesome lady that offers child care. She used to be a preschool teacher so she's big on crafts and outings. I can ask if she has room. She's off Magnolia and La Sierra. I'm VERY picky...... and I wouldn't hesitate leaving my kids in her care.

Thank you, that's really kind of you. We're moving from the Torrance area so I don't know anything about day-cares in Corona & Riverside.
