Riverside City College (RCC) Nursing Fall 2024

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone, I wanted to start this thread for anyone who applied to RCC'S ADN traditional program for fall 2024 because I haven't seen one for this cycle yet and there should soon be some information about TEAS invitations coming out as well as acceptances.

Hi. I signed up for both traditional and cep. I already did TEAS. This is my 2nd time applying to RCC (I didn't make Spring). Im hoping for some good news in the next 2 weeks. Wish yall luck on your TEAS and admission.

Hey, thanks for replying! This is my first time applying to any nursing program, I only applied to the traditional and I'm currently studying for the TEAS. I'm hoping to get invited to take it at RCC. Hopefully we get some good news soon. Any tips on studying for the TEAS?

Honestly, I didn't study the best for my TEAS and only did so for about 3 weeks, but I did manage 92%. The practice exams are beautiful and definitely worth 80 bucks. Remember that the practice tests are harder than the real one and you likely score 2%+ higher on your real test. I know theyre intimidating at first, but its better to do bad on the practice and know where youre at than to do bad on the real one. I got 44% on my first practice. Amoeba sisters were fantastic for science and really helped me understand stuff like the sodium potassium pump and other cell things I didn't get. And there are nurses that go over TEAS topics on YouTube. Theyll like do the whole subject its great. don't underestimate english and reading and don't let math scare you. Quizlets are also great and sometimes have some real test questions, I've heard. But they were super helpful. I bought the mometrix and SE books. didn't use em much. Mometrix is wordy but goes in depth on weird science stuff. SE is better at putting things in little easily read sections, so whichever works for you. I found YouTube videos to be a lot more helpful tho. You can also find study groups on discord or facebook. You got this! Good luck!

OMG thank you so much for the tips! I bought the mometrix book and the practice tests and just been using those so far, but I'll definitely be using YouTube video as a resource now. I've been super nervous about it, hopefully I can get at least a 78.

Im sure youll do great. As long as you study, it isn't too bad.

Hey everyone, I also applied for the CEP and Traditional ADN road. I had 71 points but haven't heard anything back, has anyone gotten acceptance emails?

I only applied to the traditional ADN and those acceptances don't go out till mid-April, but CEP should be going out in the middle of this month.
