Rio Salado Math142 BOOK

Hi

I am taking Math 142 online via Rio Salado this Spring semester.

Rio's bookstore has their own packet which will end up costing $100 but when I search the textbook online, I can find it for way cheaper.

Just wondering if I HAVE to go with Rio's packet or will this book suffice?

My husband and I have both used the "full" versions of books just fine. With math though you will have to purchase the code for my math lab which is still cheaper to me at least.

Also if your a good self teacher you really don't need the book. My math lab if you haven't used it will walk you through how to do a problem and I have found Google and YouTube to be very helpfull.

I took college math and stats with Rio.

I'd prefer to not purchase the book tbh. I am in Paris and dont want to incur the shipping costs :D

I don't recall ever using math lab. Where can I find the option to purchase this code?

So with this class, the instructor won't assign, for example, page 56. odd numbers? :) That's the only reason I would think I need the book. If everything is assigned through a website, I think I can handle that! Is the book only as a tool to teach the material? Yea! YT is great for that!

Wow yeah I would totally opt out on the book and I just remembered that the book should also be available to view on my math lab if need be.

every teacher is different but no you shouldn't be assigned assignments from the book all assignments and test will be done I my math lab.

When the class starts your teacher will instruct you on how to sign up for it and from their website you can purchase the code as you sign up :)

I only used to book for further examples on how to do a problem.
