Right path

Hi, My name is Myisha Cooper I am currently a CNA with lot's of hands on experience. I have finally come to knowing which direction I want to take as far as Nursing is concerned. I want to specialize in Hospice. I really believe it's my calling, I don't know which avenue to take as far as programs. I would like my BS in Nursing and so on. Any ideas?

Welcome to AN! Because this is a social media deal, I would highly recommend that you change your username and edit your post to remove your identifying information. This site is searchable on Google, so if someone is looking for information about you, this will come up in the results. Better safe than sorry- you don't want to have something you post here come back to haunt you in the future.

As for information about school, look for schools that are both accredited either through CCNE or ACEN (both offer search capability on their websites) as well as approval from your state's BON. Research the field of hospice nursing- many agencies require experience in other areas before being eligible to apply for jobs.

If you are beyond the editing window, you can use the yellow triangle to report your post and ask the moderators to remove that information for you.

Depends on your location and what path you want exactly. I'd recommend CNA-LVN-ADN-BSN-MSN-PhD/DNP and you can google each license and figure out the various pathways such as CNA-BSN-DNP or CNA-ADN-MSN-DNP
