Specializes in Orthopedics.

evaluation time is coming up soon. i graduated rn school in may and took and passed boards in june.

:nurse: i was an lpn from september 06 until passing boards to become an rn. i just wanted to know what i could do to get more money?

i currently work on an orthopedic floor. i feel like i work hard and am good at what i do but seeing my paychecks is sad sometimes. my manager offers double bonus, which is 12 dollars extra i think, on the days we are short staffed. i already work 3 12's and burnt out when i come home and enjoy having days off. any suggestions?!?

:D

Hang in there Heaverboo, I am not a nurse yet but I have friends who are nurses. All of my friends have the same concern as you. Get the experience then consider other alternatives like working per diem or prn that should bring in more hourly pay.

I hope you love your job otherwise and congrats on recently passing the boards for your rn !!!
