RGN to LPN?

:heartbeatI am aware that this is rather an unusual question. I am an English Registered General nurse ( RGN, adult), middle aged and working in general practice, thus converting to RN would be next to impossible and daunting beyond belief.

For my sins, I have an American boyfriend! I wondered if an RGN could in any sense 'convert' to gain an American LPN qualification and licence, or would the training need to be undertaken from scratch.

Any advise/ideas greatly appreciated as romance must be helped!

kind regards, Carol

To be a LPN in the US you still need to be general trained. Have you actually done any paperwork re registering as a RN in the US? A lot will depend on what is on your transcripts
