Hi! I'm a former LVN with a 2010 revoked license. I've been sober for four years and have many letters of support to send it with my petition. Im currently using Recovery Trek to monitor my drug testing and I have 6 months to go until I can submit my petition. I work at a state hospital and I gave a TPAPN advocate as well as a job waiting for me. Has anyone gone several years without working in healthcare and then asked for a reinstatement?

Yes, I have. I was many years away and was reinstated. The BON website and application for reinstatement spells it out. 
 

You will need a refresher course to be completed. Get a head start on that.

Go oBlaine to any of the colleges in your area and check out refresher courses. I know Austin Community College has one as do others. The BON website will tell you which ones are approved for reinstatement.
