Review of Olivet Nazarene University ABSN

Published

Hello all!

Months ago I was desperately trying to gather information about Olivet Nazarene University's ABSN program. I am now 1 month in the program, and I would like to shed a little light on what I have experienced. I LOVE THE PROFESSORS! They are the nicest people in the world and you can tell everyone really wants the students to learn and pass each class. You are able to call them at home if you have any questions about upcoming tests or homework. I talked to one professor for 30min going through a study guide I made for her test. The labs are very interactive and engaging. We even start with prayer which defiantly eases the feeling of "being in school". All around I am thrilled with the program thus far and would recommend it. With that being said, I am only a month into the program. These are very beginner thoughts and feelings toward the program. The only negative comment I would say is that it is expensive so be sure to take out or save at least 1100 for books, scrubs and lab coat... which is just for the first semester. Hope this helps anyone looking at the program! If anyone else would like to share their experiences feel free :)

Thanks for doing the review. I am looking to apply to the program next year and was wondering what the hours/days are for the day and evening/weekend programs.

Thanks,

Arnie

My views on this program have now drastically changed. Disregard this review...

What has changed your views on the program Sunflower12??

sunflower please email me! I sent my email [email protected] - I have tons of questions

I am looking into the program. What made you change your mind?

I come across this post. I am actually looking into olivet nazarene university. But after you said (Sunflower12), "My views on this program have now drastically changed. Disregard this review..." should I look at other schools? Please respond or email at me [email protected] Thanks!

I've read on the very very few reviews on Olivet's Accelerated Program, that it is really bad. I know people in the traditional who like it fine. I wonder if its just the Accelerated. But I've seen short comments saying they're not allowed to speak ill about the school or there are consequences. It may explain why it's so hard to find reviews...It may not. I've never been so I don't know. I have family that graduated with their PhD's there and enjoyed it. But of course they werent in the nursing program. I was considering this school but I'm not sure anymore..

I attended their ABSN program at Oakbrook campus until they threw me out of the program due to discrimination. I will not apply or attend this school if you are a black student. Many Professors are very discriminatory and show racism when grading your exams. All my black classmates including some of white students will admit to the existence of racism among professors. Do anything possible to avoid this school if your Latino, Hispanic, or Asian.
