QuoteI need help! I am one step away from moving into the NP field. I need to retake the exam but I can't do it the same way as before. I went through the Barkley book 4-5 times and the Barkley audio about the same. I took the DRTs but never scored above an 80. Anyone have advice to give?
Did you retest yet? If so what study material did you choose? I test for the first time on June 10th.
Hello CollegeKid2020 and Rapper RN,
Thank you for sharing. Please don't lose hope, keeping studying and trying.
Experience has shown me that Berkely is a little too detailed for the exam and not so focused. Ever since my own struggles, I have become an advocate for using the Leik book to study if FNP or AGNP.
I also mentor some students on the side to keep going and address weak areas.
Give Berkely a break. Get exam practice software, my preference is Examedge, it is affordable and has a similar tone to the AANP exam. Also, try quizelet for old/retired exam questions similar to what you would have if you paid for the practice exam.
I'll keep you all in my prayers.
Hi Everyone!!
I passed my Exam on June 10th with a 617! My main and favorite study tool was BoardVitals I highly recommend. I used the SM Qbank and FNP mastery as supplemental. I took all 3 AANP FNP exams from their website, 2 APEA predictor exams, 1 board vitals practice exam, 2 SM practice exams, and 1 simulation exam from FNP mastery.
Also, I have some material that I am selling. I have the Latrina Walden crash course transcript and video which I went through 5 times and really helped me pass my exam. Several questions came from it and I highly recommend it. I also have all 50 practice exams from exam edge that I didn't get around to completing that I'm willing to sell at a discounted price.
