Passed AANP FNP Exam!
I passed my ANNP FNP Exam on June 10th with a 617! My main and favorite study tool was BoardVitals I highly recommend. I used the SM Qbank and FNP mastery as supplemental. I took all 3 AANP FNP exams from their website, 2 APEA predictor exams, 1 board vitals practice exam, 2 SM practice exams, and 1 simulation exam from FNP mastery. I highly recommend the Latrina Walden crash course, I went through it five times and it was really helpful!

retaking the FNP cert exam?
Hi Everyone!! I passed my Exam on June 10th with a 617! Also, I have some material that I am selling. I have the Latrina Walden crash course transcript and video which I went through 5 times and really helped me pass my exam. Several questions came from it and I highly recommend it. I also have all 50 practice exams from exam edge that I didn't get around to completing that I'm willing to sell at a discounted price. If you want to chat more text me! (229) 269-9651

retaking the FNP cert exam?
Did you retest yet? If so what study material did you choose? I test for the first time on June 10th.

AANP study group
I test for the first time on June 10th and I'm really nervous - AANP FNP. I bought Maria leik digital and it was horrible, I heard the paper book is much better but I prefer digital materials. I am thinking of UWorld I purchased the free trial. UWorld helped me pass the NCLEX and I 100% recommend it for RN. But I don't know about FNP. I'm not sure UWorld FNP has been out long enough. Anyone have any recommendations on what I should buy/use?

NP school - no RN experience
I hope you're doing well. I started NP school straight out of nursing school too. I started NP schools 2 weeks after getting my BSN. I didn't have my license or a job yet. My second week in NP school I took my NCLEX and passed in 75 questions. Then 2.5 months later I moved and started working bedside in a PCU unit, where I still work. I'm now in my 3rd semester of NP school and I graduate next year in May. I have an Associate's degree, a bachelors in health science, and my BSN. I started college before I turned 18 and I've been in school for a long time without breaks. While there's so much you learn from working as a nurse, there's also so much that you forget while not being in school. Having fresh and current nursing school knowledge has been my biggest pro. You would be surprised the basic information that older and specialized nurses have forgotten. There's pros and cons to both sides and no room to accept other people's negativity. starting right away definitely isn't for everyone. You have to have the skill and the drive. You got accepted into your school for a reason so remember that. If you're still in your program I hope that's belief for you enough that you belong. If you're not in your program anymore that's okay too. Do what makes you happy! good luck ?

NP school: Name vs content
It is a graded on campus activity led by our instructors... so take with that what you will.

NP school: Name vs content
So for health assessment we do this thing called shadow health. It's a virtual clinical simulation that we have to complete weekly. We also have weekly zoom meetings to learn how to develop a SOAP note and ask questions, then we follow up with doing a discussion post on a SOAP note. Plus we are required to submit a H2T video using real equipment on a person of our choice (they sign a waiver). Next week will be my first lab. It's an all day 9-5 thing. We were told it's a "poverty simulation". I honestly have no idea what it's about, but afterwards we have to stay in the lab to practice for our H2T videos on each other. So far, for being a mostly online program it's not too bad. As far as clinicals (peds, womens, adult, and residency), I just pray that I have a good preceptor in a good facility that allows me to practice my skills as well as learn as much as I can to prepare me to practice on my own.

NP school: Name vs content
I have a friend I work with who graduated from Vanderbilt and graduated last Summer or so. She loved it, the only complaint she had was struggling to find her own preceptors. I currently attend University of Memphis and it's a great program. It's advertised as part of UofM global and fully online, but it's not. I am in my second semester and have my first on campus visit in one week. It's a whole day lab for health assessment. I know we have to be on campus for OSCE'S and our comprehensive exit exam as well. I don't mind the few visits, personally I like the lay out. It takes lots of independence and commitment. It's easy to forget about s course when it's all on your laptop and you don't have to show up at the crack of dawn to sit at a desk all day. Being a younger generation student I am used to online courses. This will be my 4th degree and I like online learning, but it definitely isn't for everyone. I say go with your gut and your learning style. Do what suits you and don't think about names. If you can, talk to some previous/current students. Good luck!

Failed NCLEX in 75 questions
The good pop up is accurate after you get the email after taking your test. I got my email while sitting in the parking lot and immediately checked for the good pop up. Any good news yet? ?

Failed NCLEX in 75 questions
Yes I passed :). My license number was posted online about 24 hours after taking the NCLEX. I know the anticipation sucks but don't lose hope!

BSN RN Summer 2023
No contract. I am still in unit orientation so I am not "essential staff" and was required to do their normal 2 or 4 week notice. But the resignation is just a request and then your unit manager has to accept it for your resignation to be final. My unit managers are trying to give me other options to make me stay, but what I really want is to switch units, and apparently, I have to wait 6 months for that. It has only been 2 months and I don't think I can last another 4 without hating my job and being burnt out which I do not want. I love being an RN and working in a more acute/critical setting but not under these conditions.

BSN RN Summer 2023
I hate my new job with a passion. Submitted my resignation letter request and they won't accept it and are trying to do everything to make me stay. Everything except pay us more and provide safer nurse-to-patient ratios. I am so depressed.

Lakeland Regional or Orlando Health
Where did you end up? I'm at ORMC now and I don't like it.
