Resurrection University Nursing Program Fall 2019

Published

Has anyone applied for the Fall 2019 BSN Program? I applied in mid February and haven't heard from them yet. Has anyone who's applied heard back from them?

I'll be starting the daytime BSN in September. Excited but panicked. Anyone else feel that way?

I start in the fall also my orientation day is aug 20th can’t wait!!!

I feel the exact same.. lately all I can think about is nursing and soo excited but scared also!

I had orientation in June and it was so great to really learn more about the program-specifically the structure. We are going to do great!

I received an email Monday regarding my clinical assignment. They can send us as far out as 30 miles I think. My assignment is in Des Plains on Wednesday's. I would say be on the lookout for an email. Judging from your schedule, can you tell which day you'll have clinicals? A book list should be available within the week (they say first week of August), but the school is a paperless school so all books are online. I bought one pair of scrubs, a stethoscope and I ordered the nurse kit (mine is arriving tomorrow so I have no clue what it includes). I feel the same way: I'm ready to start but I'm also worried-usually about the silly things.

Thank you soo much for this information!! I just ordered my nursing kit and bought scrubs also! I’ll keep a lookout for the email! Per my schedule I’m guessing on Friday is when I’ll have clinicals. And yes I am a worry wart, I can’t help but I think it makes me at least better prepared. Also did you get a new laptop? I’m thinking I should buy a new one? Since most will be e books I guess? Thank you again!! Wishing us both luck and good grades to come!

No problem! This whole experience is so overwhelming. It's so important that we all stick together-especially since we going to the same school and will probably see one another on campus. I totally relate about being a worrier. I've been trying to connect with as many nurses and future nurses as possible so I'm so happy I came across this site. If you're on Facebook, there are a bunch of support groups. I just bought a new laptop last summer so I think I'm good for now. Did you buy a planner or plan on buying one?

You are exactly right!! Future nurses need to stick together! I have joined a few Facebook groups for nursing was hoping to find one for resurrection fall, but didn’t ?. But yeah I am going to get a new laptop because mine is a few years old. Thinking Mac book because that’s what some recommended but don’t like the price at all lol. We should keep in touch while on this journey!!

My Mac Book died last year after 8 years. I was so sad! I didn't want to spend a ton of money on a new laptop. I ended up with an Asus and I really love it so far. Half the price of a Mac and I have the choice to use it as a regular laptop or tablet. I posted on one of those groups looking for ResU students too and couldn't find any. We should definitely keep in touch! I would be open to grabbing a tea (or coffee) sometime before or after the semester.
