I currently work at a hospital that specializes in trachs and vents as a nurse's assistant. I have been having problems with my boss and some of my co-workers as well as getting called off of work all the time. Due to this I am looking for a new job. I am currently working on my resume and am not sure how to word my experience with trach and vent patients. The only things that I really do with these patients is to clean up the secretions that come out of the trach when they cough. If it is more than that and the patient is coughing and it sounds like they need to be suctioned, I tell the nurse or respiratory therapy. Also if the vent pops off I am allowed to place it back on. Can anyone help me with how to word this?
Thanks!!!
