Resume Question

I need to add a sentence or two about my 'Objective' or goal. An example is....

Objective obtain a challenging and fulfilling Registered Nurse position where I can utilize my critical thinking and customer service skills. NOTE: I can not use this one. but need something along these lines.

Thanks in advance!

Are you seeking a new grad position or are you an experienced RN?

Is this for a school assignment or for an actual job? I haven't included an "objective" on my resume since the 1970's. They don't really help your job prospects any, but they can hurt you if you write the wrong thing -- lots of risk with little or no possibility of a reward = not worth it. A lot of people recommend not including them anymore.

New grad program. The recruiter for the main hospital system in our area somewhat requested we have a sentence or two as a goal.

I've used something like these before: "To join the team at (insert company/hospital) in providing quality health care as a (job title/position)." or "To share my diverse clinical skills, experience, and compassion with (insert company/hospital) as a (job title/position)."

I've heard including an Objective on a resume both ways - yes, add one and no, not necessary. I wonder what the "wrong thing" is to write (& hope I didn't do it). Good to know for future resumes!
