Hello all!!
I need a little resume and possible interview help. I just recently moved and am applying for positions.
My first question is about having a period of time greater than 3 months without working. I knew that my husband and I would be moving this August and I was fortunate enough to be able to take some time off of work before we moved and evaluate what I really wanted to do. I quit my previous job at the end of March. I previously worked Progressive care and Telemetry/Med/Surg floors. I have been a nurse since 2006, but because of my husbands schooling and job have had to move twice. So there is another small gap in my work history from our last move. How is the best way to put this on my resume when there is gaps in between jobs? Also, what would be the best way to explain this to an employer in an interview?
My second question is about resume objectives. Two positions that I know I am applying for is an OR/clinic position for a plastic surgeon and an Interventional Radiology position. What would be the best way to word an objective for these positions? Does anyone have a specific way they go about writing objectives? There is not a job description posted for the surgery position. I was going to try to write an objective using that as a guideline. If anyone has any suggestions or advice about objectives for these positions or just writing objectives in general I would really appreciate them. Thanks!

I don't know if this helps at all however if you were to google nursing resumes you will find some great advice and tips. You are always best to use a template and then work around that and then add your own extras. Resumes are quite a pain to work on therefore why make life more difficult through working on this on your own. Use a template and you should be fine. Good luck
Thanks for the tip! :)
No problem, good luck :)
