I'm also an LPN going onto RN.
On my resume I put only that I am attending college with nursing major. I do not mention my wish to be an RN in my cover letters.
I got the book " Real Resumes for Nurses" http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1885288328/ref=oss_product
And a book on cover letters http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1601382383/ref=oss_product
I found them both very helpful.

I am graduating LPN school next month and will be attending a local CC for RN. When making a resume can I put that i'm going to be attending rn school on the Cover letter or in the objective area? I am going to be looking for like full time 32 hours with benefits or part time with benefits but I want to work with someone who will work with me while i'm doing the school thing? How do I let them know that in my resume? What are you really supposed to put in there for the objective and for a cover letter? I havn't had to make a resume in soooooo long I cant even remember anymore. THANKS IN ADVANCE FELLOW NURSES
