The issue was really because of the narcotics (percocets, 85 of them). There was a debate over whether to count out 24 hours worth or send them all. Last time, I was told to pop out what she would need, put them in a tiny envelope with the date & times to take them. I used several, one for her 9:00's, noons, etc. Today, they were saying that we can't do it that way because the medications have to have the prescription label just in case they were to get pulled over or whatever.
The DON called the pharmacy, I think, and they said to send the card with the least amount in it. (There was a card of 60 & one of 25.) No need to send both.
Just wondering how this is handled where you work.
