  1. Should I try for the RCM position as a LPN?

I've put in a letter of interest for a RCM position that was posted. As an LPN, I have worked various positions including floor nurse all shifts in long term, memory care, rehab/skilled, worked as an admissions nurse for a couple of years and even a nurse liaison but never a RCM. The position said LPN or RN since it doesn't include MDS's. My question is, even though I have a variety of experience, should I be trying for this job when I don't really know the depths of what it intells? I really want it because I want the opportunity to try a new area of nursing but I also don't want to get in over my head. Advice is much appreciated!
