The Nursing Informatics Taskforce of HIMSS (Health Information Management

Systems Society) is conducting a research study to better understand how

health information technology affects communication between nurses and the

other members of the interdisciplinary team in the acute care setting.

This study has been approved by the IRB at Partners Health Care in Boston

and is funded by HIMSS. While we are collecting demographic data, we are

not asking for personal identifiable data. All data will be reported in

aggregate numbers.

We want to reach as many bedside staff nurses and other members of the

interdisciplinary team as possible. To assist in this goal, if you could

forward this email (with the survey link) to any individual email

accounts, group distribution lists, or listserves of beside staff nurses

or other members of the interdisciplinary team; and/or place a link to the

study on your website page, it would be extremely helpful. We hope to

obtain at least 500 usable surveys for the study. The survey takes 10-20

minutes to complete.

Thank you so much - we appreciate any help you can provide in

disseminating and encouraging participation in this survey!
