I am doing a similar paper. A great way for me to get ideas was to do a Google search using the relevant keywords. I also did the same thing in CINAHL--this way you can see what the hot topics are and what kinds of research is being done in that area. Good luck!

Try the topic of End of life care. Talk about living wills, fluids at the end Vs no fluida, feeding tubes VS no feeding tubes. How death is faced by the different religions. End of life care is now a big focus in nursing, and we are finally getting good at it.

You've been given some wonderful ideas already....I especially like the Living Will/Health Care Surrogate/Health Care proxy topic as people are not talking about these things with their families until far too late. Also, how about the fact that society does not prepare us our families to talk to each other about our death or the dying process or our individual wishes...these topics are all very relevant in hospice care and all too often I am seeing that families are not talking about these important subjects.
