Hi there
I am an Australian trained nurse and now residing in Canada. I am to do an assessment in Obstetrics and Pediatrics as I am an International Nurse. I am to do this assessment as it is required in Canada for International Trained Nurses to attain permit to work. However, my curriculum back in Australia never covered Obstetric Health or Pediatric Health. It is an additional course after doing Bachelor Degree in Nursing.
Therefore, as I am being assessed in two areas I have no experience or education in. I was hoping that I could get assistance with information of any good websites that cover:
Information about Preganancy
*signs & symptoms
* usual problems and what to do
* normal weight gain and anything else
How to handle a woman in labor
Normal characteristics of baby
Health teachings in caring for baby.
If you can help me out I will be very happy and grateful for information provided.
Kind regards
Kylie

1. Adaptive changes that occur in the newborn's biological systems during the transition from intrauterine to extrauterine life.
2. Assessment and norms for the newborn
