Reposting question about Florida

Hi All. I posted this in the Florida section but got no comments... I saw another poster ask their question about Maine here and it got a lot more traction... Here was my original post.

Hello all. My family and I have a 1 year plan to move to Florida... we are thinking after the upcoming school year (June-ish 2016). We are looking at finances obviously to see if this move makes sense for us. I'v looked at several different medical centers...

Boca Raton Medical Center

Jupiter Medical Center

West Boca

etc. etc. A couple others.

My preference is telemetry/ medical-tele day shift

My experience is 3.5 years (4.5 by the time we move) on a medical tele floor in New England in a 230 bed community hospital. Pt ratio5-6:1

I will have my BSN this December (so before I arrive in FL)

My questions are... Does any one have any experience with hospitals in this area?

Do you think I would have any difficulty getting a job in this area with my experience?

What is the hourly pay?

Pros/Cons with any area hospitals. Are they union or non-union?

Jupiter medical is very nice. Not sure on the pay but I know for new grads this area it's about 21-23 an hr. Good luck with the move!
