Reported on compact license?

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone had experience being reported while having a compact license. I am concerned about compact states even though I never left my home state. Did anyone do a program or get disclipline, suspend or surrender their compact license in their own state and did you face issues from other states? Anyone have experience?

Once you get disciplined, your license becomes a single state license (your home state). This may vary depending on your state and severity of discipline, but my license was suspended and then had restrictions and I had to do a 3 year monitoring program. Once I finished, they said they'd let me know if I was eligible to apply for my multistate license. I believe eligibility just meant them checking that my license was unencumbered again. I got a letter saying I was eligible, but there wasn't any application, I just had to upload a photo of my driver's license and they changed my license from single state back to compact a few hours later!

Thank you for sharing your story. I guess my concern is that I have researched and saw some people that got reported to all states in Nursys and then got letters and had to defend in multiple states or surrender after winning their home state and I'm worried about that. Still wondering if anyone went through this recently.

I believe that is if you're licensed in another state, not just part of the compact. For example, if you're licensed in a compact state, but then also have a California license (not a compact state), you might get in trouble/have issues with your California license. I think the only time you might have issues is applying for a license in a non compact state once you're all done. You shouldn't have any problems working in compact states once you get your compact license back.
