Nursing Students CNA/MA

I have a resident from reminiscence who was readmitted to skilled nursing and unfortunately, this time she is on my side:eek: . She is very difficult to deal with even just to take her vitals she freaks out! Anyone have any tips or techniques to get her to cooperate ? She is combative and wants to be left alone all night. She won't even take her Meds. I work NOC shift and there is only one other Cna besides me. I hate to ask for help because the Cna looks bothered. I never ask for help even for two person transfers because the Cna can handle even the toughest resident on his own. It's as if that Cna didn't even exist, I look forward to my nights where my fellow CNAs don't mind helping each other . So any advice on how to handle this lady on my own? I am sure I could handle her but I don't want to hurt her either

Thanks!

I normally hold the resident's hand that has the bp cuff on it when they act agitated or combative. This normally calms them down a bit... or enough so I can get my vitals. If I had any resident's that are two assist, I ask for help. If the resident injured themselves in the process of a transfer, that would be my head. I can't take the chance.
