I'm currently a CNA/HHA in the state of California. In a few months I will be moving to Washington. I am curious to know if when I get there I have to take any further steps to be a Wa CNA/HHA before I start applying as a CNA/HHA or if the titles are the same in both states? I also know that where I am moving CNAs are in demand, so, another question is will the nursing facilities I am applying at potentially help me start the process of making my certification "legal" in the state of Wa?
I hope this wasn't confusing, please let me know any information you have!
Thanks for your time,
Lindsay

Those kinds of certifications don't "travel" from state to state, same as nursing licenses don't. You need to contact the Board of Nursing in Washington (or visit the website) and find out from them what you need to do to be certified in WA.
It looks like this will get you started -- http://www.doh.wa.gov/hsqa/Professions/Nursing_Assistant/default.htm
Best wishes!
