Did anyone receive a rejection letter from Vanderbilt yet? I have seen a few posts where people have received acceptances already, but no one has said anything about rejections?? I haven't heard anything at all...
Well I just heard from Vanderbilt, and they are still reviewing my application. The next meeting is on Feb 15th...

I've been accepted to Vanderbilt but I will not be able to go:( (b/c of financial reasons). Which program did you apply to? I applied to the CNM/FNP dual program which sounded like a great program.
I applied to CNM and just found out that I did get it, but they are so slow on everything that I don't know anything about it yet...did you get financial aid info yet? I plan on going to Yale, but I never really gave Vanderbilt a fair shot after my Yale and Columbia acceptances...
Vanderbilt hasn't sent me any financial aid info, but the number of scholarships they have listed on their website is encouraging...

It is so interesting how these schools work--its like there is no structure at all! I found out from Vanderbilt right away--like January 17th or something like that. However, I did not receive any financial aid because I knew I wanted to go to Yale and waited until I heard from them. It was so awkward and difficult to send in my rejection to Vanderbilt. ( I never in my life thought i would refuse an offer from an ivy league, and now i'm refusing TWO) Its like you pour your blood, sweat and tears into these applications and then end up not going!? Its crazy. I loved Vanderbilt, but for all the wrong reasons--it would be warmer, Nashville is fantastic, the campus is compact, the hospital is across the street from the Nursing building, my friend lives there, etc. I really like Yale's program, it just fits me better. Ah, c'est la vie!
I agree Bics! I have yet to send off a rejection letter, have you? Just the other day it hit me, suddenly, that I was 3 for 3 in my graduate school process and it just blew my mind because I never would have imagined. I had gotten so used to the graduate applicants and students around me telling their horror stories (and my mentors and friends reminding me not to get too excited because three schools is a relatively low number of schools to apply to) that I just had prepared myself for not getting into any of them. It's all so UNREAL. I can not even think of how to write an acceptance to Yale...
