Reimbursement from hospital for New Grads (NCLEX fees, etc)

The hospital I just started working at offers fee reimbursement as an extra benefit for your:

(1) NCLEX fee amount - $200

(2) RN license application fee amount - $75

(3) Fingerprint fee amount - $71

You have to fill out a form and attach the receipts for these items to receive the reimbursement on your next paycheck.

I was wondering, what would you use as a receipt for your license application fee? I'm in California, and to the best of my memory, I did not receive any sort of receipt, just a letter stating they had received all of my materials. I paid by sending in a check with my application.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Do you have the checks that have a carbon copy underneath? Maybe the letter you received would be enough. Does it state the amount that was received from you?

No it doesn't, the letter just lists that they received my application.

I'll have to ask at work today what everyone else is doing. I was just hoping to turn it in today and be done with it! :)

I too have a reimbursement plan at my hospital. I gave them a copy of the letter with a copy of the check. They accepted that. Hopefully that helps.

Thanks!

I actually asked HR what they preferred at my hospital, and they said to bring in a cancelled check from the bank.

A cancelled check is a print out from your bank of the front and back of the check that you paid with. You just need to go in and know what check number it was.

Hope that helps someone else out!
