Hi,
Has anyone pre-registered yet for next semester?
If all goes well I'll be taking Micro, Chem, Psychology (developmental) and Bio-Medical ethics. I wanted to add Nutrition but all the hours were going into other classes!
What will you guys be taking next semester?
If (and that's a big if) I manage to pass A&P1, then I'll be taking A&P2, Developmental Psychology, and I'll take Sociology and my last required English Composition class online. All that is left for the summer is Micro and an Phy Ed class. Hopefully I'll be in the Nursing program August 03, but if not then it WILL be Jan 04! It's so exciting learning all these different things and waiting to get into the program.

I'm taking Microbiology and Intro to Sociology...then the only non-nursing class I need to graduate will be a Humanities class and I'll probably end up taking that online. I'm applying to the nursing program at the end of this semester, and hope to start in May 2003, with graduation in Fall 04. I'm currently in A & P II and College Algebra, which has been the hardest class so far...I'll be so glad when 16 December gets here...that's my final exam in that class. I just want to pass with a "C"!
I'm taking the second clinical semester. Our classes are held for us as well in the nursing program. (who else would take them?)
I've got:
Adult health: Mon (Wed & Thurs at the hospital)
Nursing Nutrition: Mon
Pharmacology: Mon
Honors class: Every other Tuesday
World Civ: Fri
It's 14 hours, but I'm loading up so I can be home with my daughter this summer.
Good luck everyone both next semester and this one. FINALS coming up!!!

Dear V Summer 1,
First semester A & P is required for clinicals at my school. I have to get through A & PII by the second semester clinicals. As for how I will handle pathophysiological questions, I already have a biology degree with an emphasis in zoology and comparative vertebrate anatomy and physiology. Humans are a little different but most of the basics are the same as in higher mammals. I have been also working in biomedical research since I got my first degree in 1987. I think I will be fine. My school highly recommends completing both semesters of A & P before starting the nursing core but it is not required. If I didn't have a biology background, I wouldn't even consider taking the nursing core with A & P II.
