MScN undergraduate degree from Scotland have any merit in U.S. or Canada

I graduated as a R.N. at 21 in 1988 from a Canadian College with a Diploma in Nursing. Just to clarify it was 3 years full time plus a 4 month FT work clinical component. I worked in the U.S. for five years and wrote my NCLEX and passed in California in 1992.

With 24 years R.N. experience I have consistently done education certificates ie. OHN and kept upgraded but have felt a bit resentful about having to to do a full 3 years University to get the ahh so covetted BScN here in Canada.

I have recently been investigating RN to MSN courses and found a great fit for me in Scotland however, it is considered a MScN undergraduate degree.

I have searched the net considerably and have been unable to ascertain if this would merely be a useless bit of expensive paper and a rather expensive endeavour for same or if it would hold merit in North America.

Any insigtful information regarding the value of a MScN undergraduate degree from Scotland would be greatly appreciated to help me decide if this could be a go to add some momentum to my career or if I should just suck it up and do the 3 years FT hear at home.
