Hi everyone! I'm nearing the end of my first year of nursing school and I'm interested in becoming in an RNFA but I'm not exactly sure what you're required to do in order to become one. I know you're supposed to have a CNOR certification, but what else? Also, what is it like to become an RNFA? Any info would be appreciated! :) THANKS!!!

Some places would like LPN status. It all depends on your hospital.

RNFA stands for registered nurse first assistant. I'm not quite sure why you are saying some places would like LPN status as an LPN cannot be an RNFA.
OP, the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) is the professional organization for periop nurses. The main website is http://www.aorn.org; this link will take you to the RNFA resource page: First Assisting (RNFA) : Association of periOperative Registered Nurses
