Regis Spring 2012 (as well as CU and Metro)

Published

This is my second time around in applying to Regis and got asked to interview in a week and a half. Was wondering if anyone else is in the boat with me??? My interview is on July 28th. I would love to hear input from everyone and see how they got here. Last year, I interviewed but didn't get in :crying2: and it makes me more nervous about this time around, but over all I feel more confident!

Sidenote: I have also applied for CU and Metro's Jan Programs and still waiting to hear from either of those programs. Would love to hear from others on their journey!!!:yeah:

I got an interview request for Regis in mid-August. Tell me about the questions they will ask.

I can do that! Did you apply to any other programs?

Regis is the only one I applied to in Colorado. I've also applied to schools in Kansas, D.C., Kentucky, Maine and Sacramento.

Very cool and very wide span of choices! Where are you from?

This is my first time applying for the Accelerated Program and I was invited to interview next friday but I am unable to go; therefore, I was given a Skype interview for August 12th. Im super nervous! Does everyone get interviewed? How many people get accepted?

Last year, about 400 applied, 200 got interviews and 90(ish??) get in. However I don't know what the numbers are for this year. Good luck on the skype interview! I think the head lady of the program preforms the interviews online. At least she did last year. All I remember is that I got interviewed by two professors in the nursing program for about 20 mins. I don't want to count on the same thing tho...you never know what changes. I'm super nervous too..

After the interview how long did it take for you to get a decision? Were you denied or waitlisted? Is your interview in person again?

I'm guessing the questions are like typical job interviews: "why nursing?" "why Regis?" strengths/weaknesses, etc.

What question was most surprising to you?

Sunshinelu86,

Good luck on your interview next week!!!

I think it was 6 weeks after...but I don't remember specifically. I was denied last year. And my interview is in person again this year :D

Sunshinelu86,

Good luck on your interview next week!!!

Thanks!

yes the typical questions! and as for your last question. They asked my how I felt about the religious aspect that the school takes, and they also emphasized how they won't put their religion on you at the school. It was very interesting to talk about with the professors!

Sunshinelu86,

Thanks for giving us some insight on the type of questions they will be asking. Did they also ask you about your neg/weakness?
